Until Sunday-Monday of this week things were looking pretty good weather wise. Our Crocuses at the house were in full bloom and at one point the temperatures topped out at 10 degrees.
Sunday it was cooler, Monday was Arctic. The overnight temperature dropped to -15 and the with the wind chill it must have been -22. Compared to last year, this is turning out a very cold March. Have a look at the blog posting from
March 23, 2012. It reads a much different story than this year.
The warmer part of March this year melted the snow we accumulated in February and it looked as if we might get a repeat of last years record breaking conditions, however, the only thing that appears to be predictable about Maritime weather is it's unpredictability. On Monday the high was -11, Tuesday -4, tonight they are calling for 15 to 20 cm of snow. March is continuing to be a lion.
Here are some pictures of 9 and 18 green over the last two weeks showing the how the snow was abating.
